City you live in:
1. Why did you join Black Bolt CrossFit?
I had been going to a big box gym and doing the normal routine....cardio + leg/arms/chest/back days and got tired of the same routine and knew I needed a change.
2. Proudest accomplishment at Black Bolt?
Participating in the Crossfit Open earlier this year! I had just completed the Intro Sessions and Jason talked me into signing up;) My very first class was the Wall Balls and Rowing workout....my quads were on fire after that workout and I could hardly walk for two days!
3. How did you find Black Bolt? Why do you train?
Lucky for me, I found Black Bolt because I live less than a mile away (no excuses for being late). I was always intrigued by CrossFit but too scared to actually "GO". I setup a meeting with Jason and was impressed right away with his knowledge and the facility. I train to stay in shape and get stronger. I've found that a big box gym, you typically use the same weights week in and week out, but at Black Bolt, the different strength movements and WODs allow you to increase your previous weight.
4. What are your favorite CrossFit movement?
My favorite movements are Back Squats, Burpees, Box Jumps and Power Cleans!
5. Favorite Cheat meal:)?
Aaaaaanything sweet...cookies, ice cream, cake, muffins, chocolate chip pancakes!
6. What is your daily motivation to workout?
To stay in shape and be active. Workouts are only an hour out of my day and the discomfort will be over soon (or at least I try to remind myself that lol)!
7. One song that gets you hype up during a WOD!?
Milkshake by Kelis...LOL only kidding. Anything Eminem or Linkin Park.
8. Tell us something about yourself that we don’t already know…
I'm actually from Cary....one of the few. I grew up playing baseball and now moved onto softball...during the season, I play between 2-4 games a week.
