1. What brought you to CrossFit?
I decided to start CrossFit after I had my second child. I wanted to get
in shape and tighten up all the parts that had succumbed to gravity after
childbirth. Also, to be honest, I desperately needed an outlet as I just
had become a stay-at-home mom. My husband was the one who really encouraged
me to start. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. When we moved
to Cary, we visited a ton of gyms, but chose Black Bolt. Black Bolt was a
nice, clean, organized facility and Jason seemed like the real deal!
2. What was your first impression?
Ha. It's funny because I don't think I'll ever forget my first
impression when I first started CrossFit. I thought - WHOA - these chicks
3. What’s been your biggest accomplishment?
I would say my biggest accomplishment was the Open in 2016! I didn't think
I could push myself like that:)
4. What are you working on now?
Right now, I'm working on form! I realized that it's not always about
how much you lift; the form and technique have to be right!
5. What’s your favorite Black Bolt CrossFit memory?!
My favorite memory so far at Black Bolt has really just been getting to
know the members and having girl talk before & after class - LOL! I love
that CrossFit isn't just a workout, it's a place where you can belong and
feel part of a community!
