1. What brought you to CrossFit?
I felt like I’d plateaued while working out on my own and I wanted programming/coaching to help me break through those walls.
Starting Crossfit has greatly improved my health and wellbeing. Prior to joining Black Bolt, I lifted 6-7 days a week at a conventional gym, but my weight and strength plateaued. Since joining Black Bolt, I have lost roughly 30 pounds. I can lift more and run farther than ever before. The outstanding coaches, especially Jason, were essential to my gains. They corrected subtle errors in my lifting technique that I had never noticed and cheered me on. One of the great things about Crossfit is the community that it fosters—friendly, encouraging, committed to a healthier lifestyle.
2. What was your first impression?
How clean and well maintained Black Bolt is!
3. What’s been your biggest accomplishment?
Losing 30 lb while getting noticeably stronger all around!
4. What are you working on now?
Dialing in on my technique for Olympic lifts, Snatch and Clean and Jerk.
5. What’s your favorite Black Bolt CrossFit memory?!
I got my FIRST Toe-to-Bar during the 2017 CrossFit Open! So PUMPED!
