1. What brought you to CrossFit?
It all kind of happened by chance. I actually met a friend at black bolt to try out run club. We were talking before run club and I was watching everyone doing the CrossFit wondering if I could actually do these workouts!
2. What was your first impression?
I instantly realized that I didn’t just join a gym I joined a “community.” Everyone was so supportive and encouraging. Even when the workouts seemed so tough to get through you knew that Jason and the rest of gym were behind you to get you through it!
3. What’s been your biggest accomplishment?
So much of working out and cross fit is mental for me so I’d have to say that my biggest accomplishment was learning to just “do me”. Not to worrying if I’m not lifting the heaviest weights, as long as I’m challenging myself, finishing the workout, and am doing it with good form!
4. What are you working on now?
Right now my biggest challenge is getting healthy again. I’ve been plagued with knee trouble most of my life but that’s the great thing about CrossFit, I’ve still been able to continue to workout with some modifications . My goal is to be squatting again in 2018!
5. What’s your favorite Black Bolt CrossFit memory?
I’d have to say my favorite memory so far was our wedding workout. It was the perfect start to our wedding weekend and everyone coming out meant so much!
